Grand Coulee Dam Long Haul 2015
No other concrete company closer to the project had Fly Ash available for the mix. Our Quality Control group performed a test batch at their lab and the mix was approved. The mixer truck hauled 5 cubic yards for 2.5 hours, containing a 3 hour dose of set retarder in the load.
Upon arrival, QC Manager Craig Matteson retested the concrete. Air entrainment and superplasticizer were added for additional slump. The load was within the job specifications and the concrete was pumped by Champion Pumping a local company as well.
When the contractor of the project, Site Work Solutions from Redding California, needed concrete for a high end project, Central Pre-Mix delivered the right stuff!
